Ozone therapy, an important clinical research project is underway at Fbf-Gemelli Isola
Rome, May 12 – An important clinical research and training project on Oxygen Ozone Therapy has started in Rome at the Fatebenebelli Isola Tiberina-Gemelli Isola Hospital. The initiative involves scientific research, internal training and the provision of therapeutic protocols in order to consolidate the effectiveness of Oxygen-Ozone therapy, with a particular focus on the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and related to aging.
The inauguration of the project took place in recent days at the headquarters of the Fatebenebelli Isola Tiberina-Gemelli Isola Hospital in Rome in the presence of illustrious personalities from the medical-scientific sector and the donor Lina Putortì, in memory of her husband Pippo Conti.
Ozone therapy is a therapy that exploits the capacities of oxygen (O2) and ozone (O3) on the human body at the metabolic, immune, vascular and regenerative levels.
In fact, through the use of different techniques, it allows to obtain significant therapeutic results on numerous pathologies. thanks to a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, immunomodulating, revascularizing and tissue revitalizing action. The promoter of this project is Antonio Carlo Galoforo, who for more than 30 years has been dealing with the potential of the application of ozone in medicine and the environment, both in clinical practice and in scientific research, nationally and internationally. Dr. Galoforo also works as a member of the board of directors of Sioot-Scientific Society of Oxygen Ozone Therapy, as well as professor of the 2nd level University Master in Oxygen Ozone Therapy at the University of Pavia and Unicamillus in Rome. Within the section, projects already funded by the Ministry of Health will continue to be developed, aimed at the effectiveness of Oxygen-Ozone therapy for the treatment of the main neurodegenerative/neuropsychiatric diseases and frailty linked to aging.
Research projects concluded in 2022 by Galoforo and by researchers Catia Scassellati and Cristian Bonvici at the Istituto Centro San Giovanni di Dio Fatebenefratelli (Irccs) in Brescia. Another protagonist of the project is ‘High Quality Italy’, as a promoter and partner for the strategic-relational and economic-legal aspects, carried out by the lawyer Giuliana D’Antuono, who was also responsible for the donation of the medical equipment ‘Medical 95 Computerized Photometric System’. Other important supporters include the ‘Prevention, Health and Wellness’ Commission of the European Academy for Economic and Cultural Relations (Aerec), represented by President Ernesto Carpintieri, for the support received also at the institutional level.
